A few of my favorite things: Daria’s Gift Guide 2023
Jewelry cleaner is a lovely accompaniment to a gorgeous jewel, of course. Think about pieces she can layer up with heirloom classics such as any of my stand-alone pendants like the Green/Blue No. 6, which can go short on a torque to mix up with other chunky gold necklaces for a fancy night out, or go long on a chain to layer over a turtleneck for a more casual look.
Or consider wrapping up a big statement hero, like a noticeable pair of earrings such as the Landscape: Mountain, Conifer Earrings or the chunky Landscape: Desert, Haven Bracelet.
Once you’ve covered the sparkling accents, think about footwear. Heels are great, but now that sneakers are de rigour, I’m all about comfort. My new favorite pair are the Roadrunners from Birdies – they're like little clouds on your feet whether you’re standing at a cocktail party or running through airports.
For the guy who seemingly has it all, a chic Daria de Koning leather band Bracelet with an eye-catching stone is fabulous for stacking next to a watch or to balance out the look on his other wrist. Style a bracelet to work with the design of his watch, for example this large oval schalenblende stone set in a 18k warm white gold with dark brown Horween Chromexcel leather band teamed up with a classic gold IWC watch.
All of the above are perfect for heading out for a day or night on the town, so consider gifting an experience with the jewel, such as a gift card to a restaurant, tickets to a show or concert, or a sporting event. And if you’re surprising your other half with a vacation, wrap up the perfect travel jewel with that plane ticket! My first choice is always a pair of ear-clips that can dress up or dress down and look appropriate for any occasion. I have two sizes and lots of colors to choose from. Of course, you’ll want to keep the beauties protected in one of my red leather travel cases, which are easy to pop in a handbag for safe-keeping.
While on the go, I don't travel anywhere without an extra tote bag on hand – makes it easy for taking a hike on the fly, going to the market, shopping, whatever. My newest favorite is the Paravel fold-up backpack (or tote), which weighs nothing, takes up no space at all, and comes in lots of great colors.
Lastly, don't forget the dog! Of course, if the humans are dressing up for the holidays, the dog had better spiff it up, too! Try taking a fun gem-stone pin and fix it to the dog's collar for an immediate festive boost. Then reward your special pooch with a My Woof Pupscicle – this is Kodak's absolute favorite thing... just a suggestion of pulling one out of the freezer has his eyes bugging out in anticipation! You can buy their treats or make your own.
If you need any specific suggestions, I'm happy to hop on a call to help tailor some ideas for you. Reach out to me by email to set something up. In the meantime, happy shopping!
